Centrosomes enhance the fidelity of
cytokinesis in vertebrates and are required for cell cycle progression.
Aurora B kinase activity is essential for proper
cytokinesis (Adams et al., 2001; Echard et al., 2004; Eggert et al., 2004; Smurnyy et al., 2010) and, at onset of anaphase, the CPC complex relocalizes to the spindle midzone (Adams et al., 2000), an area comprised of stable, overlapping microtubules (MTs).
Cytokinesis in microsporocyte meiosis is of the simultaneous type, and the micropore tetrads are tetrahedral.
Based on this phenomenon,
cytokinesis, the process of dividing the cytoplasm and the cell membrane, may follow a short time after mitosis, but not immediately.
Within the cell cycle set of genes, 16 genes were associated with various parts of the cell cycle including
cytokinesis, centromere formation, and microtubule formation.
In the all tetrads, the
cytokinesis was done as simultaneous type (Fig.
The data for the micronucleus test with
cytokinesis block and nuclear division index are reported in Table 3.
The cultures were incubated at 37 [degrees]C for 72 hours, and 44 hours after the initiation of cultures, cytochalasin-B (Sigma) at a concentration of 6mg/mL was added to arrest
cytokinesis. MN slides were stained with 10% Giemsa in phosphate buffer.
The members of the BTB protein gene family are functionally involved in a variety of biological events in eukaryotes, including developmental timing [7], oogenesis [8], organ formation [9], cell development [10,11], cell apoptosis [12,13], protein degradation [14-17],
cytokinesis [18,19], and tumorigenesis [20, 21].
During mitosis it localizes at the spindle poles to be inactivated and degraded before
cytokinesis, as above mentioned [19, 22].
The study shows RhoA is necessary for proper regulation of a cellular process called
cytokinesis during the final stage of cell division in hematopoietic progenitor cells, which produce specific types of blood cells.
