Thrombocytopenia, anemia, neutropenia,
leukopenia, palpitations, nausea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain/distention, mucositis/stomatitis, diarrhea, dry mouth, fatigue/asthenia, decreased appetite, urinary tract infection, myalgia, back pain, arthralgia, headache, dizziness, dysgeusia, insomnia, anxiety, nasopharyngitis, dyspnea, cough, rash, hypertension.
Among pSS patients with mucocutaneous lesions, there were two cases of
leukopenia, one hyperthyroidism, one rheumatoid arthritis, and one nephritis.
A week later, a repeat CBC demonstrated resolution of his
leukopenia and thrombocytopenia.
A complete blood count demonstrated
leukopenia, and a complete metabolic panel indicated acute kidney injury and elevated liver enzyme levels.
In a majority of SLE patients, hematological abnormalities including anemia, thrombocytopenia, and
leukopenia may develop during the course of the disease with varying incidence rates among societies.

Hematology revealed normocytic hypochromic anemia with neutropenia and
leukopenia (Table 1).
The most common symptoms found in systemic rheumatic diseases are arthralgias (37-80%), arthritis (14-70%), Raynaud's syndrome (45-60%),
leukopenia (11-42%), and other cytopenias, xerostomia (7-40%), xerophthalmia (8-36%), nonspecific rash, and oral aphthosis [4].
(2) Avoid this agent in patients with serum liver enzymes 3 times higher than normal values, renal disease, neuropathy, thrombocytopenia, or
leukopenia. Drug-drug interactions typically are not of concern unless a patient takes carbamazepine for several weeks.
Overall adverse reactions in the form of
leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, oral ulcers and diarrhea were observed in 1.5-9% of patients.
Leukopenia was defined as less than 4,000/cumm and thrombocytopenia as less than 1.0 lakh/cumm.
