birth injury
An injury sustained during birth. Such an injury may be caused by the medical attendants (IATROGENIC injury) as a result of difficult delivery by forceps or vacuum extraction, or by attempts to turn the baby into a better position for delivery.Collins Dictionary of Medicine © Robert M.
