AC patients registered a variety of complications: recurrence of the disease was registered in 21.6% of the cases, thromboendocarditis was discovered in 8.1% of the cases, the emerging aneurysm was found in 24.3% of the cases, disorders of the heart rhythm and conductivity-in 40.5% of the cases, early post-infarction angina registered in 27% of the cases.
Examination of the heart, which weighed 300 g, revealed mild concentric hypertrophy, old anteroseptal subendocardial myocardial infarction, and nonbacterial thromboendocarditis of the aortic valve.
