After the data acquisition, extra time for the data processing routine is needed since the a priori information including bathymetry and water resistivity should be included for each different
survey line. The same arrays and equipment can be used for terrestrial and underwater ERT surveys; however aquatic surveys are more demanding on batteries due to the very conductive environment.
Figure 6A represents a
survey line over a known cave which was used as a control for this study.
where the [M.sub.n] and [M.sub.n+1] are the normalized waveform magnitudes at two sensor positions spaced 30 cm apart along the same transverse
survey line with little or no damage between them.
However, for Simpson and Osborne, the technology is used to measure
survey lines without chopping out bush to get a line of sight.
The measurement array of each
survey line consisted of 61 electrodes placed along the
survey line at 10-meter separations.
The eighth species, cedar elm, was reported only as a motte on a
survey line. Post oak and Ashe juniper were the largest trees.
Where long
survey lines are required, a measuring wheel can mark designated distances.
Two reconnaissance IP
survey lines at the Wedgetail prospect have been completed and a positive anomaly recorded on the eastern line.
A Global Positioning System (GPS) unit interfaced with all three computers so that positions were recorded at the start and end points of
survey lines, each minute of time along a
survey line, at each seal sighting, and at all changes in ice or weather conditions.
In the southern area of Ballyorlo, rock samples have been taken from a mineralised porphyry outcrop discovered during the IP
survey line clearing.
