The peptidoglycan-binding protein FimV promotes assembly of the Pseudomonas aeruginosa type IV pilus
secretin. J Bacteriol 2011; 193 (2):540-550.
Immediately following the operation, PACAP 1-38 or its fragments (PACAP 4-13, 4-22, 6-10, 6-15, 11-15, and 20-31) or other members of the peptide family such as
secretin and glucagon (100 pmo1/5 [micro]L) were injected intravitreally using 30-gauge Hamilton syringe into the right vitreous body of animals.
Insulin may have been extracted by Banting and Best from pancreatic tissue in essentially the same manner as described here for the extraction of
secretin from the intestinal membrane.
Glucagon is a linear peptide of 29 amino acids related to the
secretin family of peptide hormones and produced in alpha cells of the pancreatic islets.

secretin [Letter to the editor]".
As the resulting slurry, known as "chyme," exits the stomach and enters the duodenum, it stimulates the secretion of the hormone
secretin, which in turn, signals the pancreas to release trypsin, chymotrypsin, and pancreatin, a mixture of several enzymes, including proteases, amylase, and lipase (See Table 1 above.), which play important roles in extracting nutrients as they further break down proteins, carbohydrates, and fats.
Some other examples include (but certainly are not limited to)
secretin therapy, hypotherapy, vitamin therapy, and cranial-sacral therapy.
There is no scientific evidence supported by well-designed randomised controlled trials to advocate the use of alternative/complementary therapies such as megavitamin supplementation, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, dietary modification,
secretin infusion and heavy metal chelation.
One hormone,
secretin, is responsible for stimulating pancreatic bile and small intestine secretions.
He pointed to "the [high] price of shortcuts," citing as an example
secretin, which was hailed as a possible treatment based on one uncontrolled observational study that hinted it may have improved behavior in three children undergoing gastrointestinal procedures.

Additional studies with young adults rather than middle-aged are recommended, as well as evaluating the effects of BMI and gender on gastrin,
secretin, and cholecystokinin.
