Areas of focal increased tracer uptake in the neck or mediastinum on the early images that demonstrated retention or further increased uptake on the delayed images were considered as positive for the presence of hyperfunctioning
parathyroid glands, likely adenoma.
In the present study, the number of surgical interventions for all endocrine diseases, adrenal and
parathyroid gland diseases were increased (p=0.06, p=0.09 and p=0.04, respectively) compared with the GTB period (Figure 4).
After surgical treatment of
parathyroid glands and successful endocrinal therapy by Erciyes University Medicine Faculty, the patient was hospitalized for almost 3 months.
The first one showed multiple lymphadenopathy around the neck and left supraclavicle, no residual mass in the right thyroid, no abnormality in the left thyroid, and no ectopic

Exclusion criteria include patients over 75 years of age, patients with severe comorbidity with contraindicated surgery or ASA risk score over 3, primary or tertiary hyperparathyroidism, parathyroid carcinoma, parathyromatosis, and mediastinal
parathyroid gland localization.
