CEBPB

A gene on chromosome 20q13.1 that encodes a transcription factor which binds as a homodimer to various DNA regulatory regions, and as a heterodimer to CEBP-beta, CEBP-delta and CEBP-gamma. CEBP-beta binds to regulatory regions—e.g., IL-1 response element in IL-6 gene—of genes involved in immune and inflammatory responses.
