Size and morphology analysis was performed on reconstituted MAA using an optical microscope (Micromaster, Fisher-Sci, USA) and a
hemacytometer (Reichert, USA) before and after relyophilization.
After all of the worms had died (longevity studies) or after 10 days of culture, the number of eggs deposited in culture was counted on a
hemacytometer.
Subsequently, the appropriate volume was transferred to a
hemacytometer and WBCs counted under a microscope.
Then, 20-[micro]L aliquot was removed and placed on a Neubauer
hemacytometer. Finally, the number of viable cells was counted under light microscopy.
Suspensions of 105 conidia/mL (as measured with a
hemacytometer) were prepared with sterile distilled water and used in all inoculation procedures.
The cell concentrations of the diatom species were counted by direct counts using a
hemacytometer and a compound microscope.
Cells were counted by
hemacytometer applying trypan blue exclusion assay Sample Contents Mean no.
Afterward, cultured cells were extensively washed with PBS (PAA, H15-002) and both cell viability and concentration were calculated by trypan blue exclusion assay followed by examination with a
hemacytometer under an optical microscope.
Conidial suspension of the isolate was prepared from fungi which growed for 10 days on PDA cultures, and the conidial concentration was adjusted to 2 x 105/ml using
hemacytometer. The gerbera plants were cultivated at regular intervals in pots with sterile soil mixture and they were spray-inoculated with 100 ml of the spore suspension per pot.
A multicenter evaluation of the Iris iQ200 automated urine microscopy analyzer body fluids module and comparison with
hemacytometer cell counts.
The concentration of the cells was manually counted with Bright-Line
hemacytometer (Sigma).
