The levels of glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (GOT),
glutamic pyruvic transaminase (GPT), and total cholesterol were measured according to the colorimetric method using biochemical analyzer (Hitachi modular system, Hitachi Ltd., Tokyo, Japan).
On applying the unpaired t-test, we found that adverse fetal outcomes were significantly associated with rising serum bilirubin levels of more than 11 mg/dL, serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (SGOT) and serum
glutamic pyruvic transaminase (SGPT) of more than 1000 IU/L, and a platelet count of less than 85.000 cells/[mm.sup.3], and this difference was statistically significant.
Initial laboratory tests showed mild leukocytosis (WBC: 10000/[micro]L, segment: 84.1%), Hb 14.4 g/dL, platelet count 163000/[micro]L,
glutamic pyruvic transaminase (GPT) 22IU/L, creatinine 1.0 mg/dL, troponin I 0.06 ng/mL, and creatinine kinase MB 0.8/ng/Ml.
In terms of adverse effects of ATT (Table-3), 26(54.16%) clinicians reported raised serum
glutamic pyruvic transaminase (SGPT) as the commonest adverse effect.
