gastrojejunal loop obstruction syndrome

A clinically nonspecific "post-gastrectomy" syndrome occurring with decreasing frequency; the availability of the H2-blocking phamacologic agents for nonsurgical treatment of upper gastrointestinal ulcers has resulted in a four-fold drop in gastric ulcer surgery. An alternate term addressing this semantic conundrum is post-gastric surgery dysfunction.
