The waveguide must be
evanescent for the T[E.sub.01n] mode at C-band.
In previous sections, it was shown that, for the EBG power plane under study, the power loss for both propagating and
evanescent modes was mostly due to material losses in the structures (dielectric loss).
They are forward wave modes, backward wave modes,
evanescent wave modes and complex wave modes.

We find that the angular spectrum is indeed a superposition of traveling and
evanescent waves as shown in Figure 1.
Sometimes trials follow months later, but more often than not nothing more is heard and the report appears to be just another of the regime's
evanescent claims.
Framing Kaufmann's contributions were two maritime works, Britten's Four Sea Interludes and Passacaglia combining excitement with an eerie sense of atmosphere (the complete Peter Grimes is worth considering), and Debussy's La Mer
evanescent, dancing and whitehorse-flecked in Nelsons' deft hands and with Marie-Christine Zupancic's important flute contributions - and fortunately Nelsons didn't use the excised little trumpet fanfares which some conductors like to restore near the end of the finale.
The
evanescent quality of spiritual insight--we have it; it fades.
The prevailing HIV epidemic promoted the rare complication of subacute measles encephalitis (SME), (5) and 8 'silent casualties' in the
evanescent phase of this outbreak are reported.
"A superlens made out of a metamaterial focuses propagating waves and reconstructs
evanescent waves arising from the illuminated objects in the same plane to produce an image with sub-wavelength resolution," said co-author Susanne Kehr at the University of Saint Andrews in the UK.
