(fos'jēn oks'ēm)

A toxic chemical-warfare agent, dichloroformoxime, CCl₂NOH, produced by Russia and other countries of the former Soviet Union. It is a crystalline solid that sublimates to produce vapor and that melts at approximately 35-40° C (95-104° F) and causes urticaria progressing to tissue necrosis (NATO Code CX).
