nerve branch by which postsynaptic parasympathetic (secretomotor) fibers from the pterygopalatine ganglion are transferred from the zygomatic nerve (of CN V₂) to the lacrimal nerve (heretofore purely sensory) for distribution to the lacrimal gland.
