SYNOVIAL (OSTEO)
CHONDROMATOSIS: One case (3.33%) of synovial
chondromatosis was encountered in this study.
(4) However, these investigators did not report any cases involving the Achilles bursae, and stressed the need to differentiate extraskeletal soft-tissue chondromas from soft synovial bursae and tenosynovial
chondromatosis, giant cell tumors of the tendon sheath, myxomas, and chondrosarcomas.
A case of idiopathic bursal synovial
chondromatosis resembling rheumatoid arthritis.
This clustering arrangement is typical of soft-tissue chondromas and synovial
chondromatosis but is not unique to them [7].
This was supported by findings in pathological processes, showing that synovial chondrogenesis leads to synovial
chondromatosis [21].

chondromatosis arising from flexor digitorum tendon sheaths of the foot: a case report," Skeletal Radiology, vol.
In addition, the bursa may contain chondral or fibrin bodies, and chondrometaplasia can occur within the synovial lining, leading to secondary synovial
chondromatosis [4,14,17-20].
Synovial
chondromatosis [1] also known as synovial osteochondromatosis is a type of non-cancerous tumour arising from the intimal layer of synovial membrane of a joint.
Although LA has characteristic features that usually make it a straightforward MRI diagnosis, other entities presenting as filling defects in the suprapatellar recess, such that osseous loose bodies, synovial
chondromatosis, "rice bodies" accompanying rheumatoid arthritis, pigmented villonodular synovitis, quadriceps fat pad impingement, synovial hemangioma, intra-articular lipoma, and intra-articular liposarcoma may mimic LA and cause confusion [23, 24].
Progressive pain, and locking sensation of the right hip with limited range of motion were told and synovial
chondromatosis (SC) of right hip was diagnosed.
However, solid or semi-solid pathologies (such as synovial cell sarcoma, synovial hemangioma, or synovial
chondromatosis) can have similar signal intensity.
