a uterine mass occurring after fetal death and consisting of blood clots, fetal membranes, and placenta.

carneous mole

A flesh-like mass of tissue in the womb consisting of a dead fetus in its AMNION which has become covered with altered blood clot. The effect of long-retained products of conception. See also ABORTION.
