During the manipulation, some doctors may apply counter-pressure on the
calcaneocuboid joint, which may be the main reason behind the failure of the treatment or recurrence of the deformity.
Sequelae include loss of height, heel widening subfibular impingement,
calcaneocuboid joint impingement, varus heel, and posttraumatic arthrosis.

In most recent reports [1, 2], the treating physicians performed reconstructive surgery for lateral column shortening and articular displacement, followed by fixing the fracture with a miniplate or the
calcaneocuboid joint with a plate and K-wire after bone grafting.
