bronchial adenoma
A descriptive term for epithelial neoplasms that arise in the upper airways and range in behaviour from completely banal (bronchial gland adenoma), to usually banal (tumourlets or carcinoids) to the more ominous adenoid cystic and mucoepidermoid carcinomas.
Because of the potential for confusion, the term bronchial adenoma is best not used without histologic qualifiers.Segen's Medical Dictionary. © 2012 Farlex, Inc. All rights reserved.
