auricularis anterior (muscle)

facial muscle of external ear; origin, epicranial aponeurosis, insertion, cartilage of auricle; action, draws pinna of ear upward and forward; nerve supply, facial. Considered by some to be the anterior part of the temporoparietalis muscle.
