n.
Any of three benzoic acid derivatives, C7H7NO2, especially the yellowish para-form, which is part of the vitamin B complex.

A drug used in the treatment of SCLERODERMA and PEYRONIE'S DISEASE. The action is to reduce the tendency to the formation of fibrous tissue. A brand name is Potaba.

The degree of functionalization of poly(DGA-co-An-azo-An) from poly (DGA-co-AN) was 0.4, as calculated from Figure 4, but the diazo coupling reaction between poly(DGA-co-An-azo-An) and aminobenzoic acid increased the degree of functionalization of poly [DGA-co-[(An-azo).sub.2]-ABA] to 0.7 because of coupling to previously uncoupled sites.
PABA (para aminobenzoic acid), a compound he says is often found in conventional sunscreens, can irritate the skin, sting eyes and stain fabric.
Sodium sulfacetamide acts as a competitive antagonist to para aminobenzoic acid (PABA), a component of bacterial growth which can lead to the development of rosacea "pimples," while sulfur reportedly inhibits the growth of Propionbacterium acnes and the formation of free fatty acids.
