The year-to-year growth in the HICP for the
European Economic Area (EEA) was 2.1% and 2.2% for the European Union in March 2006.
The authority will examine whether there are infringements of existing EU competition law, which applies in these three EFTA members, because they are members of the
European Economic Area (EEA).
Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, as members of the
European Economic Area , will take corresponding decisions based on the decision of the EC.
According to the EC, the planned deal would not significantly impede effective competition in the
European Economic Area or any substantial part of it.
This CE mark grants the Swedish company authorisation to market and sell the product in the European Union and
European Economic Area.

The European Commission presented a proposal for a Decision to the Council on July 18, 2001, amending Annex XX of the Agreement linking the European Union and the
European Economic Area (EEA) in order to integrate Decision 1753/2000/EC establishing an EU Programme for monitoring specific average emissions of CO2 from new passenger vehicles.
The CHMP positive opinion is now referred to the European Commission, which grants a centralized marketing authorization with unified labeling that is valid in the 28 countries of the European Union, as well as
European Economic Area members, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
