EEA doctors found that more than a third were considering leaving the UK, citing Brexit among their key reasons for doing so.
Healthcare leaders are urging the Government to offer certainty to the estimated 12,000
EEA doctors working in the NHS, who make up 7.7% of the UK medical workforce.
Of the
EEA doctors questioned for the survey, 45% said they were considering leaving the UK, with a further 29% saying they were not sure whether they would leave or not.
Prof Hunt added: "The number of
EEA doctors and dentists facing allegations relating to their communication skills is an issue we think the Government should be taking very seriously.
