4-hydroxyproline oxidase

1. a flavoenzyme that catalyzes the conversion of 4-hydroxyproline to Δ'-pyrroline-3-hydroxy-5-carboxylate using FAD; this enzyme appears to be deficient in people with hyperhydroxyprolinemia;
2. an enzyme that catalyzes the reaction of 4-hydroxyproline with NAD+ to form NADH and 4-oxoproline.
