2-pra·li·dox·ime (2-PAM),
(pral'i-dok'sēm, prā-lī'), One of several oximes that are effective in reversing cholinesterase inhibition by organophosphates. The 2-PAM facilitates the hydrolysis of the phosphorylated enzyme so as to regenerate active cholinesterase.
