cho·lin·es·ter·ase re·ac·ti·va·tor
(kō'lin-es'ter-ās rē-ak'ti-vā'tōr), A drug that reacts directly with the alkylphosphorylated enzyme to free the active unit; the drugs used therapeutically to reactivate phosphorylated forms of acetylcholinesterase are oximes, for example, diacetylmonoxime, monoisonitrosoacetone, 2-pralidoxime.
