A shrub, the bark of which is analgesic, expectorant and sedative. Polygala lenuifolia is believed to improve hearing, vision, mental activity, and strengthen muscle and bone; it has been used for coughs, mental sluggishness, depression, nocturnal emission, osteoporosis, urinary tract infections and vertigo.
