wheatgrass diet(redirected from wheat grass diet)
wheatgrass dietFringe nutrition
A diet largely limited to wheatgrass (Triticum aestivum) juice as a food, medicine and tonic, a concept first championed in the 1950s by Ann Wigmore, who claimed it cured her own cancer. Enthusiasts have consumed wheatgrass juice for anaemia, constipation and detoxification, and applied it topically for bites, burns and cuts. There are no clinical studies supporting the use of wheatgrass or its derivatives in cancer management.
