Redcar and Cleveland Warm Zone
was launched in 2002 and is an initiative aimed at cracking fuel poverty - a household is fuel poor if 10pc or more of disposable income goes on heating.
Many thousands of homes in the region are eligible for free cavity wall insulation and in some cases loft insulation through their local Warm Zones

Now the Warm Zone
is finished but we didn't want to walk away so we have set up the COMFORT Zone.
Northumberland Warm Zone
is this year celebrating 10 years of successful activity.
Clr Mehboob Khan, Leader of the Council and Cabinet member for the Environment Unit, said: "If you have not signed up to Warm Zone
yet, I would recommend you do so soon and not miss out on this opportunity.
When the Warm Zone
people got in touch and said I could have some insulation work done for free I didn't believe it.
The service - which covers all the Warm Zone
areas - has been hugely successful and, in Northumberland alone, has secured nearly pounds 1.
Everyone who completes a Warm Zone
assessment form is automatically entered into the prize draw to win pounds 300 worth of shopping vouchers or pounds 300 off their council tax.
Assessors from Redcar and Cleveland Warm Zone
are contacting 3,200 homes in the area to see if they qualify for free home insulation.
With energy bills spiraling, councillors in Gateshead have urged residents to use the Warm Zone
help while it is still available.
