vesical artery

The superior or the inferior vesical artery, which is a branch of the internal iliac artery and which supplies blood to the urinary bladder, the lower ureter, and in males, the ductus deferens.

After birth, the greater part of intraabdominal portion of umbilical artery atrophies and is converted into medial umbilical ligament but from the previous part in the pelvis springs the superior vesical artery. The primary axial artery of lower limb is inferior gluteal artery, which springs from secondary umbilical artery [13].
There is collateral circulation from the deferential artery (a branch of the inferior vesical artery, which arises from the internal iliac) and the cremasteric artery (a branch of the inferior epigastric artery).
These results indicate that the major lymphatic channels involved in the spread of bladder cancer are those along the inferior vesical artery to the internal iliac artery.
