Pseudomedicine
A term coined by Wilhelm Reich for his form of body-oriented psychotherapy; according to Reich, the resolution of chronic muscle tension required the freeing of life (i.e., sexual) energies, which he termed orgone. The root vegeto- in this context refers to a primitive and involuntary level of biological functioning.
