Inhalation through the nose, which expands only the upper chest, typical of a person untrained in complete breathing.
There are three components to the complete breath of yoga:
(1) Upper breath;
(2) Deeper abdominal breath (which precedes by the upper breath); and
(3) Diaphragm breath (the latter two of which are linked in wavelike movements).
