undulent fever

a type of persistent human BRUCELLOSIS caused by Brucella melitensis in which vague gastrointestinal and nervous symptoms are common, together with enlarged lymph nodes, spleen and liver. Most cases occur in humans such as meat packers or vets, who may be exposed to infected cattle.
