It's just one example of muscular problems that are grouped under the heading dystonias - other examples include typist's cramp, blepharo-spasm (spasm of the muscle around the eye) and torticollis (spasm of the neck).
Similar focal dystonias have also been called typist's cramp, pianist's cramp, musician's cramp, and golfer's cramp.
