Myofiber types were classified into type I myofibers (light staining) and type II myofibers (dark staining) using ATPase (pH 10.6) staining.
Myofibers could be mainly classified into two groups: type I myofibers and type II myofibers, of which type II consisted of type IIA and type IIB myofibers.
Not only limited to TA, higher frequencies of type II myofibers are observed in numerous muscles of mouse compared with human, which adapts to the motor pattern of mouse [50-52].
