PLCG1(redirected from triphosphoinositide phosphodiesterase)
PLCG1A gene on chromosome 20q12-q13.1 that encodes a phospholipase which mediates production of the second messenger molecules diacylglycerol (DAG) and inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (IP3) and plays an important role in regulating signalling cascades. PLCG1 is activated by ligand-mediated activation of receptor-type tyrosine kinases (e.g., PDGFRA, PDGFRB, FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3 and FGFR4) and plays a role in actin reorganisation and cell migration.
