transseptal fiber

Etymology: L, trans + saeptum, wall
any of the many filamentous tissues of the gingival system that extend mesially from the supraalveolar cementum of one tooth, through the interdental-attached gingiva above the septum of the alveolar bone, to the distal cementum of an adjacent tooth.

transseptal fiber

Any of the collagenous fibers that extend between the teeth and are embedded in the cementum of adjacent teeth.
