transfer-messenger RNA (tmRNA)

a non-coding form of bacterial RNA (see NON-CODING RNA that resembles a tRNA attached to mRNA, capable of adding short PEPTIDE tags to incorrectly synthesized PROTEINS, tagging them for degradation.
