In the current sudy Flashforge finder of FDM technology was used to fabricate the pateient specific medical model and surgical template for preplanning as shown in the Figure 6 below.
For the current study investment casting process was followed to fabricate the patient specific surgical template with SS316 medical grade metal surgical template.
The final SS316 patient specific surgical template is shown in the Figure 7c and 7d, which can be used in surgery.
The final required metal surgical template is obtained through traditional investment casting, which is also easily available.
A new method for integrating CBCT/laser scan image superimposition, CAD system, and 3DP techniques was developed in this study and applied to fabricate an accurate customized surgical template for orthodontic miniscrews.

On the day of surgery, after local anesthesia was administered, the correct seating of the surgical template was checked in mouth and, asking the patient to bite the previously obtained silicon index, it was stabilized in its correct intermaxillary relationship through three anchor pins: a 1.2 mm diameter drill was passed through the three vestibular pin holes of the surgical template under irrigation with refrigerated physiological solution using the implant motor at 1000 rpm and the anchor pins inserted.

CBCT uses isotropic voxels and, as a result, measurements are precise and considered 1 : 1; therefore study models and 3D printing or milling surgical templates can be fabricated with great accuracy [5].
