Near drowning A Sx complex due to prolonged submersion without death Clinical Tachypnea, mild hyperthermia, restlessness, vertigo, confusion, N&V, shock, with pulmonary congestion, edema and, depending on the water temperature, hypothermia. See Drowning. Cf Muddy lung.
