sphenoethmoidal recess

A small space in the nasal fossa above the superior concha. It lies between the ethmoid bone and the anterior surface of the body of the sphenoid bone and posteriorly receives the opening of the sphenoidal sinus.

In our study, extensive efforts were made to identify potential bleeding sites in the olfactory fissure, sphenoethmoidal recess and middle nasal meatus; the results indicated no active bleeding.
