skin ache syndrome

skin ache syndrome

A persistent and debilitating disorder of unknown cause in which pain is brought on by pressing on or pinching certain small areas of the skin. The most common sites appear to be the knee, over the shoulder blade and the abdominal wall skin. The pain is abolished by the injection of a local anaesthetic under the ‘trigger’ point and this is often permanently curative.
