silent rupture

A inapparent rupture of a silicone implant which is not accompanied by any specific signs or symptoms, but rather by 'bleeding' of the silicone in to the surrounding tissue

silent rupture

1. Asymptomatic or unrecognized leakage of the contents of a surgical implant into surrounding tissues.
2. Asymptomatic leakage or protrusion of the contents of a cavity or structure.
