NEK4(redirected from serine/threonine kinase 2)
NEK4A gene on chromosome 3p21.1 that encodes a NEK serine/threonine protein kinase thought to act exclusively on threonine residues. It is highly expressed in the adult heart, and to lesser degrees in the pancreas, skeletal muscle, brain, liver, kidneys, lungs and placenta; it is present in many carcinomas.
