selective T-cell defectAn autosomal recessive form (OMIM:176947) of severe combined immunodeficiency characterised by a selective absence of CD8-type T cells.
Caused by defects of ZAP70, which encodes a tyrosine kinase that plays a role in T-cell development and lymphocyte activation.
