(left anterior) lateral hepatic segment [III][TA]
one of three hepatic segments that constitute the left (part of) liver, the one which lies to the left of the inferior portion of the falciform ligament, typically overlapping the stomach anteriorly, supplied by the lower lateral branch from the umbilical part of the left branch of the hepatic portal vein.
