segmental arteries of liver
[TA]anterior and posterior segmental arteries arising from the right branch of the hepatic artery, and medial and lateral segmental arteries arising from the left branch of the hepatic artery; the segmental arteries serve four of the five major divisions of the liver, and then branch in turn so that each hepatic segment receives an independent blood supply.
