Both AMD patients and healthy controls included in this study showed a common thermography profile with a lower temperature in the central cornea (point [P.sub.2]) and a higher temperature at the extremities of the profile, in the nasal and temporal scleroconjunctival areas ([P.sub.1] and [P.sub.3]).
