CHN2(redirected from rho-GTPase-activating protein 3)
CHN2A gene on chromosome 7p15.3 that encodes chimerin 2, a GTPase-activating protein which is regulated by phospholipid binding. Binding of diacylglycerol (DAG) induces translocation of CHN2 from the cytosol to the Golgi membrane; it plays a role in smooth muscle cell proliferation and migration.
CHN2 expression is reduced in high-grade gliomas and breast tumours, and increased in certain lymphomas.
