ret·ro·ce·cal ab·scess

an abscess located posterior to the cecum, usually resulting from perforation of a retrocecal appendix.

retrocecal abscess

An abscess located behind the cecum. It is an occasional, severe complication of a ruptured appendix or Crohn disease.
