Consistent with expectations, SAC total mean score was highest for the suicide attempt referral category (M = 50.10, SD = 7.48), followed by the suicide feelings/thoughts referral category (M = 49.31, SD = 7.72), with nonsuicidal referrals having the lowest SAC total score (M = 43.52, SD = 5.58).
Specifically, clients in the suicide attempt referral category had significantly higher SAC total scores than did those clients in the suicide feelings/ thoughts and non-suicide-referral categories.
Each CFM - location pair was linked to a specific referral category. Referral categories included blood pressure, visual acuity, general skin findings, edema/leg ulcers (peripheral vascular disease), foot problems, and tuberculosis.
To assess the most substantive issue of reliability, for each referral category we dichotomized the findings into positive (i.e., met criteria for referral) or negative.
